Yogis of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Nobody will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely, nor will anybody go home unsatisfied! Each day will be different providing you with a fresh challenge. You will inspire and be inspired by others.
As a student, you will have fun while participating in a fantastic body, mind and soul workout led by a certified yoga instructor. You will be motivated to push to your personal best at a pace that is right for you and your body. It doesn’t matter how fit you are, how old you are or how flexible, the yoga I teach is not about learning to put your feet behind your ears, it’s about learning to love and look after the body you’ve been given. It’s about knowing your limits and then daring to push them a little.
With regular practice you will make rapid progress and we’re certain that you will soon begin to feel the benefits, physically and mentally.
All my classes are offered as Group Classes or Private Sessions. For corporate clients I offer a special discount. For more information visit our Prices & Bookings page,  have a look at my Yoga Questions and FAQ’s or send me a message.
What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga is the tradition of Yogi Bhajan who broght the style of yoga to the west in 1969. Kundalini focuses on the controlled release of Kundalini energy believed to live at the base of our spine in the Mulhadara (root chakra). This dynamic practice involves chanting mantras and incorporating breathing techniques. Kundalini means spiral of hair which later came to be known as the coiled serpent of potential energy and consciousness which lies at base of our spine and can be awoken by various practices.
What is Power Vinyasa?
Vinyasa Yoga is the synchronization of breath and movement, creating a moving meditation. The “asanas” (yoga postures) can be arranged into different sequences that can meet your need or mood. Multiple postures are linked together to create intense heat and concentration that purifies and strengthens the mind and body. This Yoga is a series of postures designed to improve strength, balance and flexibility which is why it is often referred to as “Power Yoga”.
Because my classes are different each time and becuase we flow with the energy in the room, with our breath and with our individual spontaneous natures I refer to my classes as Dynamic Vinyasa Flow.
Meditation Classes?
My meditation classes last for an hour and draw on various meditation techniques such as Vipassana meditation and all the wonderful and Kundalini Yoga meditations. This means that the classes may include moving meditations, mantra and Pranayama (breath control)
For my dedicated meditation classes we generally start with as short ansana (posture) practice in order to prepare our bodies, especially if the meditation class with be mostly seated.
I also incorporate meditation during my Kundalini Yoga and Dynamic Vinyasa flow classes too where appropriate.
